What to expect.
Studies continuously show that evidence based, action-oriented styles of therapy are incredibly effective for many issues including anxiety and depression.
I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness Based Therapy in my practice.
These are evidence-based approaches, meaning that there is ample scientific evidence that the methods that have been developed actually produce change. These are also action-oriented approaches, meaning that they emphasize doing and taking action rather than just verbal communication or discussion
